Seneca Fire Protection District

The Seneca Area Fire Protection District was formed in 1989. It is a tax based, fully volunteer agency that covers over 93 square miles in Southwest Missouri. It stretches from Iris Road (North) to the McDonald County Line (South), and from the Oklahoma State Line (West) to Goldfinch Road (East).In addition to providing fire protection and suppression services, SAFPD also responds to Medical emergencies, Hazardous Materials response, Rescue and other emergency incidents.  We are also a member of an area mutual aid agreement with several local fire departments throughout Newton, Jasper, and McDonald Counties, as well as counties in Kansas and Oklahoma.

We operate out of 2 Stations located on the North and South areas of Newton County. View Website
